The program is a download with a supplied code. Very easy to get started and is mostly self explanatory but there is an on-line guide. I was interested in this software once that Moe had made it available. I have used Handbrake for several years at Dale Fletcher's original suggestion. Mainly, I have used it to rip DVD movies for my own personal collection of titles. We have a movie night at my Condo once a month and that is where I share my films with others. For those of you who do not know, Handbrake is free. It is an excellent program with many variables and there is an associated learning curve. I wanted to see what MacX DVD ripper could do. I would describe it as an autopilot version of Handbrake! It does its functions effortlessly and at a quick pace. The options as to where to direct the Rip are numerous. Here is a list of potential copies: MP4, iTunes, MDV, Music, MPEG, FLV. These copies can be sent to: iPod, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, HTC, Samsung, PSP, and AVI. You can adjust the audio and video quality, as well as the video resolution. The output image settings can be altered to either original size and aspect ratio or create a custom size. Most of the time, I just rely on cruise control! I heartily recommend this software, and it is fast.
