MacStyles are personalized vinyl decals for Apple products. MacStyles is the name of the company but it also refers to their vinyl decals for the lids of iBooks, PowerBooks, MacBooks and MacBook Pros. They also sell MacPads for the inside of notebooks and Maccents, which are packs of 25 accent stickers. They are sold in themed sets, with themes such as butterflies or outer space. Using them will jazz up your iPod, mouse, phone, or just about anything.

MacStyles are made of high quality, high gloss vinyl. The vinyl is cut to fit within the rounded corners of your laptop's lid. The fit is not edge-to-edge; there is a 1/4 inch margin on all sides. So as not to hinder the beautiful glow of the Apple Logo, the MacStyle is cut away around it. I ordered the red butterfly twirl pattern with calligraphy monogramming. I get many compliments from other Mac users.

Applying the decal was very difficult. I tried to follow the directions but eventually abandoned them and proceeded on my own. Before dressing up my naked 15" MacBook Pro, I made sure I could remove it safely, so as not to void my warranty.

I had ordered this product in 2005 for my 15" MacBook. So, even though it didn't quite fit my new 15" MacBook Pro exactly, it still looks good.
