PhotoRescue Title: PhotoRescue v 2.0.646

By DataRescue Corporation
$29.00

Recover digital pics from digital media.

If you do a lot of digital photography having this software is a must. I was at the famous Flower Show in Philly recently and took 200 photos over 2 hours. This show comes once a year for a week. I filled two Memory Sticks. When I got home, my FW memory card reader had no trouble reading one of the cards. The other one could only import 3 out of 100 photos into iPhoto. I then tried the Lexar Memory Stick Card reader to see if that would help. It didn't. I tried looking at the photos in my camera to see if they were still there. They were not. I only had 3 but the rest were blank and I kept getting a File Error message.

I had read in one of the many tech forums to which I subscribe, that there was a photo recovery application available. I went to Google and got many hits. Since PhotoRescue was for Win/Mac, I tried it. It also runs on OS 9 and OS X up to 10.3.2. They had a demo download. I tried three different ways to set the preferences before I succeeded. It rescued 86 of the 100 photos from a card that got corrupted somehow. The demo allows you to backup an image of your memory card. When you pay, you get all your photos back. It's worth every penny. Go to www.versiontracker.com to download it.

[Or, avoid VersionTracker's ChokeHold and go directly to DataRescue's download site at www.datarescue.com/photorescue/download_mac.htm to download it — WebEd]

Rescue your precious photos with an app that WORKS!

5Apples
Overall rating: I give it 5 stars out of 5 (or 5 Apples)
