Prickly Beauty

Background:

Photographer's comment: This photo was taken in Aruba using my friend's camera. Her intent was to have me make a video of her flying a kite. Unfortunately, the wind was strong enough to break the kite string; she gave up after the fourth time she had to retrieve the kite from the sea. Meanwhile, I amused myself by photographing a variety of cacti in glorious bloom.
